            So, I just re-watched Volume 1 of RWBY yesterday, and something struck me that I hadn’t realized until now. The episode “The Emerald Forest” is almost entirely dedicated to Pyrrha and Jaune discussing aura, or more specifically, Jaune’s lack of knowledge thereof. However, after seeing some things from later Volumes, this entire exchange got me thinking. These are some of the problems I see with this scene, just based on other observed things in RWBY.            First things first, Pyrrha tells Jaune that all people and animals have aura, but monsters do not. I just finished RWBY Vol. 3 in the wee hours of the morning a yesterday and felt like crying my eyes out (which was not good, because I was kinda sorta at work). That finale was killer (in a quite literal sense) and it’s prompted more than one line of discussion in my head. One of the things that really hit hard at the end was Yang’s distinct lack of morale. Usually one of the most boisterous and brash personalities on the show, Yang was shown to have been reduced to despondency and hopelessness. Good morning, Deviants! Another week has gone by, so naturally, it's time for me to begin fulfilling my promise of writing one of these things a week. Sounds simple enough in principle, but when the week hasn't been terribly eventful, there's not much to write about. The main thing this week contained was our production of The Laramie Project, a play about the 1998 beating and subsequent death of Matthew Shepard. Look it up! Oh! I suppose I can use this journal to outline pieces which I would like to potentially finish this week!
